I recently watched the the documentary “Iris” about fashion icon, Iris Apfel. If you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out. The film takes an intimate look at a woman who is honest, worldly, and eccentric. It covers everything from past business ventures, world travels, her loving husband, and, of course, her brave and bold sense of fashion.
Iris has a unique sense of fashion, and can successfully pair Chanel and Versace with the likes of Claire’s Accessories and yard sale finds. Iris talks a lot about throwing out all of the “rules,” and just being yourself. Fashion is a fun way to express yourself or even help change your mood. Rules be damned.
I would highly recommend taking some time out to watch this film. It’s a lovely portrait of a most unique and charming icon. It’s a master’s class in personal style.
