While taking an advanced painting class in high school (I was that kid who tried to take every art class possible even if I was the worst), we were encouraged to keep a binder or folder filled with inspiration to get the creative juices flowing. It could be anything- essays, photos, other artists’ work, etc. The possibilities are endless.
Well it recently dawned on me (took me long enough) that one could easily do the same for fashion, body acceptance, and all-around personal style. I thought I’d share a few things with you that belong on my inspiration board.
For me (and many people), the road to body acceptance, developing my personal style, and growing comfortable in my own skin, has been and continues to be, a long road. I now seek out people who support me, encourage me, and cheer me on. I now dress in ways that make me feel comfortable and beautiful. I’m now getting to a place where it’s more about what makes me tick, and less about the worry of what others think.
